Personal Mythology

The inception of my training in bodywork came at the early stages of life through intuitive processes of learning how to massage bodies. in a way, it has become part of my personal mythology to tell the story of how I began massage practice by learning to walk on my parents' backs and later teaching myself how to massage shoulders hands and feet. At the end of my high school education I completed my initial formal training and licensing in Massage Therapy from a rather hippie institute that more of a valued holistic healing approach to health over a clinical strategy. Most notable influences of my work come from spending time at the famous Esalen Institute in Big Sur, just north of my hometown in California. I feel tremendous gratitude to have learned from some of Esalen's amazing original teachers in my time spent there over the years beginning at age 17.

Below I will list the workshops, training, and various education I have studied over the past 20 years to give you an idea of the kinds of "tools in my toolbelt."  All of my education has influenced my session work in some way, shape, or form. At a minimum the knowledge available in my field of awareness helps direct and inform me on how best to have a conversation with your body.

I rarely certify in specialty modalities due to personal beliefs that regulation stiffens creativity. I am grateful to all my teachers so I will list their names instead of their trademarked modalities. I trust you will research accordingly
